Binary

A double CD of dance tunes. Disc 1 is intended mainly for listening, Disc 2 is a resource for dancers and contains full-length dance sets.

"It doesn’t seem seven years since I first enthused about Albireo’s debut album. Has it been worth the wait for number two? Absolutely it has...this is a collection that you will never tire of listening to." LIving Tradition

Albireo

Northern Cross

"Some very splendid tunes" – Johnny Adams ‘Rolling Round the Ryburn’ Phoenix FM

"They produce an overall sound which very clearly retains its English roots, but at the same time is fresh, gutsy and attention-grabbing".– Living Tradition

"A very entertaining CD; it has the variety to make it a real pleasure to listen to. Well worth adding to your collection" – Shreds & Patches

the Electropathics

(batteries not included)

"The Electropathics are a serious band who don't take themselves too seriously … The overall sound is very new and fresh. 'Rochdale Nutters starts in Lancashire and moves ever rapidly eastwards, finishing somewhere near Chicago' - I reckon it's more like New Orleans and it's tremendous stuff … a band to be reckoned with."  - Taplas

"A unique aggregation that mere words cannot describe … these lads crackle with more energy than the National Grid … a whole world party in their own right" -  Manchester City Life

"A gem of a record from the now fully-automatic Electropathics. Anyone who hasn't seen them live would find it hard to believe the variety of styles which this highly original band contain in their repertoire, but this excellent debut album should soon convince them." - Scans Folk Broadsheet

"Weird, wacky and fairly wonderful"  - Folk Roots

BBC Radio Manchester

The Children in Need Album

This was a double album length cassette release for the 1987 BBC Children in Need Appeal, featuring the cream of both Manchester's and the national folk scenes.

The Electropathics' contribution was an unlikely cover of The Kinks' Harry Rag, paired with a morris tune as a middle eight.
